What are the possible causes of conflict?

      In life, sometimes, people have to face unexpected conflicts and overcome them even if they are not prepared. The effects of conflict sometimes impact negatively to different side of human life. The Lybia is a good example about conflict at this moment; the serious conflict between government and anti-government faction has led this country to the civil war, as a result the number wounded and killed increase day by day. However, have people ever asked themselves that how conflicts happen, how they affect people’s live and how they can be managed? In the Cambridge dictionary, misunderstandings, disagreement and fighting over something with perceived value - are defined as the some of the main reasons which lead the conflict happen unpredictably in human life.

      Sometimes, conflict arises because of disagreement over fact or opinion between people. Base on their families, backgrounds and the surrounding environment, personal orientation systems of every people are different; including needs, interests…As a result, they lead people to the disagreement; which should be seen as nature and positive. This is because, the disagreement could help them to develop or share the opinions or ideas during discussion or speeches. In human communication, how strongly a person thinks or feels about something that relate to the other one’s tolerance. When the tolerance is no longer, they usually face to the disagreement during discussions. By the time, the disagreement develops step-by-step; when it reaches the peak, the conflict appears and exchanges the role with disagreement. In almost situations, conflict could be seen as negative with unhealthy competitions.

      Misunderstanding should be thought is a background reason which makes the conflict happen. This is because the communication has 2 parts: the sender and the receiver. When the sender tells the receiver about a message, he/she would transmit the information by the speeches, his/her actions, emotions…which the sender thinks that is the best way to reflect what he/she are thinking. However, the surrounding environment, many things or many reasons can impact or prevent the sender’s reflection  that make the receiver get not enough or intended information clearly. These reasons make conflict arise as the sender’s mistake. In addition, the background about culture, lifestyle, and character of the receiver could be defined as the factors that determine how the receiver interprets the information. In this situation, the mistake comes from the receiver.

      Fighting over something with perceived value is the most dangerous reason which arise conflict. From past to present, human’s desire could be thought as endless which lead people to usually conflict. The black gold (oil) could be seen as a good example. In the 21^st century, the black gold plays a most important role in world economy. As a result, a lot of countries fight over oil with perceived value and the conflict will definitely happen as a corollary.

      In conclusion, there are more than three possible reasons which make conflict happen. However, these reasons are told above could be defined as the most common reasons. Conflict could happen in different ways and different circumstances but depending on the reasons of conflict, people could deal with them or find solutions. Sometimes, people could think that conflict is a part of human life which makes their life more interesting.
